Privacy

How we handle data, in plain English. Last updated 1 July 2026.

Who we are

Weare Margins provides margin-reporting services to product businesses in Australia. For anything below, contact us at hello@wearemargins.com.

This website

This site uses no tracking or advertising cookies, and we don't profile visitors. Our pages (and the reports we send you) load typefaces from Google Fonts, and our pages load a small animation script from Cloudflare's CDN; your browser fetches these from Google and Cloudflare, which receive your IP address for that request alone. We set no cookies and share nothing else. If you email us through the contact link, we hold your message and email address only to reply and, if relevant, to follow up about the service.

If you become a client

To produce your reports we process the business data you send us as exports: your sales, products and costs. We don't connect to your systems, and we never ask for your customers' personal details. We handle your data under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles: before any work we put a written data-handling agreement in place, keep and process your data here in Australia, only ever use it the way you've told us to in writing, and never share it or use it for anyone else. Because we work only from what you send us, we have no way to change your prices, touch your systems, or move money. You can ask us to stop and delete your data at any time.

Your rights

You can ask us what data we hold, to correct or delete it, or to stop processing it. Email the address above and we'll action it. You can also complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).

Retention

We keep enquiry emails only as long as needed to follow up. Client data is kept for the life of the engagement and deleted, or returned, on request when it ends.
